    A couple of days ago, the high peaks of the White Mountains got half a foot+ of snow. I was up in New Hampshire for an appointment and was exploring some back roads north of Franconia Notch. I found an overlook with a beautiful clear view of Cannon Mountain and Franconia Notch. The view was stunning during daylight and I knew I had to come back at sunset.

    In late September I got the idea in my head that the foliage on the Outer Cape would be peaking. I've had fall at the Red Maple Swamp Trail on my bucket list for a while. The 1/2 mile boardwalk meanders through a dense swamp area full of Red Maples with beautiful fall foliage. Falling leaves collect on the boards of the walkway. It's one of the few spots on the Cape with true fall color.
